The event runs from Noon to 5:00 pm and
includes Craft & Food Vendors, A solar sundial craft to be built, craft and
food vendors, & music by DJ Truth and a small basket raffle all funds are
donated to the Friends of the Hornell Public Library, a non-profit organization charged with
fundraising for the Hornell Public Library. If you require a copy of our
501-3c paperwork we can provide it to you. We are an active group for
events the Library puts on and we could always use more active
individuals. Meetings are open to the public and held at the Hornell
Public Library at 64 Genesee Street on the 3rd Wednesday of the month
at 5:30pm.
Additionally, the Library will have a large projector with educational videos streaming from NASAs website and will stream the eclipse for those who do not wish to look at it. The NASA Viewing tent, tables & chairs are provided by Twin Tier Event Rentals. The goal is to also provide a live stream of the eclipse from one of NASAs viewing options: NASA TV, NASA.gov and for those who are unable to attend you can watch via NASA app.
Any Student who wishes to get graduation volunteer hours done, can show up at the event as soon as school is released; including Hornell High Schools Juniors class of 2025.
