At approximately 2 a.m. Birdsall 7 (tanker) was requested mutual aid to Short Tract Fire for a structure fire on Botsford Hollow Road. Birdsall Chief 502 and Birdsall Captain responded to the station and got Birdsall 7 on the road to assist. Assistant Chief 503 went by personal vehicle to the scene. Within an hour later Birdsall 7 was cleared by command to returned in service. I just want to put it out there the amount of personnel on scene and working together was amazing. At 2 am and about 10-15 degrees outside to get the response from several mutual aid departments from our county and also outside the county was simply superb.
