Obituary: Howard L. CRIPPEN, 79, of Ulysses, PA

Howard L. CRIPPEN, 79, of Ulysses, PA, died Monday, February 5, 2024 in UPMC Williamsport.  Born May 15, 1944, in Hector Township, he was the son of Louis W. “Luke” and Arvilla M. Seeley Crippen.  On September 26, 1964, in Williamson, NY, he married the former Barbara J. Blauvelt, who predeceased him on September 10, 2015.  He was employed by Ingersoll-Rand/Dresser-Rand in Painted Post, NY for 36 years.  Howard was a member of God’s New Beginnings Church in Harrison Valley.  Surviving are: two children, Howard (Laurie) Crippen, Jr. of Wolcott, NY and Judy A. Crippen of Ulysses; two grandchildren, Dustin (Mia Romeo) Saddock of Clay, NY and Delicia (Leonard LeFever) Crippen of Sodus, NY; two brothers, Paul (Peggy) Crippen of Westfield and Mike (Lil) Crippen of Sabinsville; three sisters, Christine Mitchell of Waterloo, NY, Lulu Myrick of Geneva, NY, and Elsie Young of Sabinsville; nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by four brothers, Gordon Crippen, Roger Crippen, Rial Crippen, and Melvin Crippen.  Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Ulysses on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM.   Rev. David Brelo and Pastor Justin Prouty will co-officiate.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Potter Brook, PA.  Memorials may be made to God’s New Beginnings Church, 104 East Main St., Harrison Valley, PA 16927.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.olneyfoust.com.
