Born October 7, 1943, in Philadelphia, he was the son of John and Catherine Ruskie Suchocki. On September 22, 2008, in Wellsboro, he married Joan M. KappensteinYoung, who survives. A graduate of Mount Carmel High School, he served honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961 – 1965 during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a prison guard at SCI Graterford and the Potter County Jail.
Surviving besides his wife, Joan, are: a brother, Bernard (Sandra) Fuller of Pottstown; two nieces, Brenda Checcei and Brindel Fuller; three nephews, John Looper, James Looper, and Joseph Looper; grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Suchocki; and two sisters, Rose Looper and Margaret Ann Reeser.
