Obituary: Sylvia P. Buck, 92, Ulysses

Sylvia P. BUCK, 92, of Ulysses, PA, died Friday, January 26, 2024 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.  Born January 12, 1932, in Wellsville, NY, she was the daughter of Louis D. and Splendina Capriotti Peangatelli.  She was a 1950 graduate of Genesee High School.  On July 19, 1950, in Genesee, she married Raymond E. Buck, who predeceased her on July 18, 2022.  Sylvia and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in Ulysses for many years.  She attended the Galeton First Baptist Church.  Surviving are: three daughters, Mary (Terry) Erway of Wellsboro, Nancy (George) Deitter of Clifton Springs, NY, and Julie (Kurt) Varney of New London, NC; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul Peangatelli.  A private burial and committal service was held in Ulysses Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Ulysses Cemetery, P.O.
