2/22/24 10:20 a.m. An Olean man is in the Allegany
County Jail faced with a felony sex crime. Amity-based troopers Thursday
arrested Kyle A. Atwater, 25, of Olean. He was charged with third-degree rape
involving a victim incapable of consent. Troopers said the incident occurred in
the Town of Scio and was reported July 28, 2023. Arraigned in court, Atwater
was remanded to jail where deputies today said he remains incarcerated on
$2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
2/22/24 12:10pm- After investigating an incident in
Bath, state police arrested Douglas J. Raker, 31, of Cortland. He was charged
with felony burglary. He was later released on his own recognizance.
2/22/24 10:45am- State police say a man was taken
into custody in the Town of Urbana on felony and other counts. After
investigating a vehicle theft in Pulteney, state police arrested Nicholas S.
Taylor, 39, of Pulteney charging him with felony grand larceny and aggravated
unlicensed operation with three or more suspension. He was initially detained.
