Hinsdale man charged in Cuba burglary

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office Wednesday arrested Derek Tyler Lockwood, 30, of Heddon Hollow Road in Hinsdale. According to a press release, Lockwood was apprehended after he was allegedly found in possession of a stolen vehicle. Further investigation revealed Lockwood was in possession of two stolen shotguns, which were reported taken during a burglary at the Cuba Rod and Gun Club. Lockwood was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, two counts fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. State Police also filed charges for crimes in Hinsdale and Portville. Lockwood was arraigned and bail was set in each township at $20,000 cash. He'll return to court September 14th.
