The New York State Department of
Transportation today announced that bridge maintenance work will begin June 18,
2018 on Interstate 86 EB and WB over SR 54 in the town of Bath, Steuben
County. Work will consist of replacing
the bridge bearings. Work is expected to
last approximately two months, weather permitting.
While this work is
taking place, traffic will be maintained with a right lane closure in each
direction and an onsite pedestrian detour on State Route 54. It is imperative that motorists remember this
season to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction
zones they will encounter.
