A second man was arrested today in connection with a gun heist at the Shongo General Store on Hawks Road. Andrew P. Drexel, 18, of 25 Ronald Circle, Ogden New York was taken into custody today.  Drexel was arrested for Burglary in the second degree, a Class “C” Felony, in connection with the burglary reported at the Shongo General Store.  In the early morning hours of March 21, 2018, Michael R. Argento, 31, of 67 Wayne Drive, Greece NY, and Drexel allegedly forced entry into the store and stole approximately 20 guns.  The guns included both handguns and long guns.  Michael Argento and Andrew Drexel are related.  Drexel is currently out on bail from a Robbery 2nd charge from the Town of Greece Police Department.  There is still a third burglary suspect that police are investigating.  The New York State Police were assisted in this portion of this investigation by the Ogden Police Department, Town of Greece Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.  In addition SP-Amity BCI would like to thank all the local businesses in and around the Town of Willing for their cooperation.
State police Investigator Jed Murphy told WRN exclusively that Drexel is a cousin to Argento. Drexel was arraigned in court and the local judge set bail at $100,000 cash bail and remanded Drexel to the Allegany County jail. State police continue to search for the third suspect in the heist.
