New York is the third worst state to grow old in, according to a new Caring.com report.
The report looked at a variety of categories, including financial, healthcare and quality of life. New York placed 34th in quality of life/healthcare and tied for 46th in cost.
The study incorporated statistics on senior living community reviews, nursing home costs, in-home care prices, and elderly well-being assessments. The analysis centered on America’s rapidly growing elderly population and the medical and financial supports required. Click the WHEC link for more.
