Olean Police make cocaine bust on N Barry Street

Olean Police Emergency Response team members served a Search warrant at 622 N. Barry St. last night at 9:45 p.m. A Search warrant was obtained by the Street Crimes Unit regarding an investigation into sales and possession of Crack Cocaine by the 45 year old resident Elliott James A.K.A. "Pig". Once the E.R.T. team members secured the residence, the investigators located 17 bags of Crack Cocaine and 2 bags of Powder Cocaine and cash inside the house. At the time the Warrant was executed, James and a female companion were inside the residence. James was taken into custody without incident and charged with Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd. degree (B Felony) and the female was not charged. James is currently on New York state Parole for Criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th. degree from a conviction in 2008. James has been arrested numerous times for drug charges in the City of Olean dating back to 1996. James is currently in City lockup and is awaiting arraignment in Olean City Court.
