Arrest made in Wyoming County stabbing


The WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE received a call Sunday night of a male victim that had just been stabbed with a knife in Sheldon.
Deputies arrived on location and spoke with the adult male victim who had cuts to his arm.  STRYKERSVILLE AMBULANCE arrived on location and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.
Further investigation showed that Janet D. ADAMCZACK, 42 of Strykersville, who is known to the victim, allegedly cut the victim during an argument.  After the incident ADAMCZACK attempted to hide the involved weapon so that law enforcement could not find it. Deputies said the knife was located and secured as evidence.
ADAMCZACK was arrested and charged with the following:
-Assault in the Second Degree-Felony
-Tampering with Physical Evidence-Felony
-Endangering the Welfare of a Child-Misdemeanor, Two Counts

ADAMCZACK was arraigned on the above charges at the Village of Warsaw Court and held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 bond.  ADAMCZACK is to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court on a later date. 
NEW YORK STATE POLICE-Warsaw also assisted at the scene.
