Nancy L. Harrington "Loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother"
ANGELICA - Nancy L. Harrington, of 165 East Main Street, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Strong Memorial Hospital, following an illness.
Nancy was born on July 12, 1946 in Wellsville and was a daughter of William and Frances Illerbrun Brown. On December 16, 1972, in Angelica, she married her husband of 48 years, John C. Harrington, I, who survives.
Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Alfred-Almond High School. She worked as a CNA at Cuba Memorial Hospital, St. James Hospital in Hornell, and then the Wellsville Manor Care Center for 22 years, until her retirement in 1994. Nancy also worked as a Private Home Health Care Aide for various people. She formerly attended the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Angelica. Nancy was a current member of the American Legion Auxiliary Hill Warner Post #414 in Angelica. She enjoyed going to the beach, going camping, concerts, her house plants, playing bingo, but she especially loved her dog, Cuddles, and her cats.
Along with her loving husband, Nancy is survived by; 7 children, Stacey L. Harrington of Andover, Rebecca K. (Donald) Brooks of Brown Mills, NJ, Madeya R. (Michael) Wolf of Akron, NJ, John C. Harrington, II of Andover, Tiffany L. Harrington of Angelica, Timothy M. Harrington of Friendship, and Amanda J. (Warren) Davis of Belmont; many many grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Nancy was predeceased by; her parents; a daughter, Wanda L. Schifelbine on Jan. 6, 2007; 2 grandsons,, Andrew Graham and Nicholas Hogue; her twin brothers, Adelbert and Albert Denning; and a sister, Dorothy E. Middaugh on Dec. 24, 2016.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba, on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Dennis J.J. Mancuso, Pastor of Our Lady of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Belmont, NY.
