Obituary: Christine T. Eck, 92, of Hartsville

Christine T. Eck, 92, of Hartsville, passed away Friday (Dec. 25, 2020) at St. James Hospital in Hornell.

Born in Hancock, NY, March 22, 1928, she was the daughter of Fred and Edna Spencer. She moved to this area in 1961. She was a member of the Hartsville Community Church where she taught Sunday School, and was very proud of the 20 years she served the Meals On Wheels Program in the Hornell Area. She enjoyed the outside, especially gardening. Christine was predeceased by her parents and 12 siblings. She is survived by her husband, William Eck of Hartsville, her sons; Charles Miller of Oregon, Scott (Doris) Miller of Hornell and Wayne Eck of Greenwood, her brother; Ernest Dugan of Deposit, NY, several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday (Dec. 31, 2020) from 1 PM until 2PM at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce Street in Canisteo where funeral services will follow calling hours at 2 PM with Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Hartsville Center Cemetery.
