Surviving are his wife; Roberta Irwin Butler to whom he was married on June 28, 1969, his daughter; Ruth (T-Jay) Mott of South Carolina, his son; Joseph (Wendy) Butler of Friendship, his sisters; Bernita Douglass of PA., and Bonita (Leonard) Moore of PA., his brothers; William Butler of Sabinsville, PA. and Ardell (Carol) Butler of Virginia, his grandchildren; Gabrielle (Joseph) DiBiaso of South Carolina, Bhrette (Omane) Edwards of California and Devon (Erin) Butler of Texas, Great Grandchildren; Isaiah Edwards and Gianna Edwards.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the family will not be observing calling hours. A private family funeral service will be held at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Angelica. Pastor Becky Worth will officiate. Burial will follow in Sabinsville Cemetery.

Obituary: Harvey M. Butler, 78, Friendship
FRIENDSHIP - Harvey M. Butler, 78 of Pennsylvania Avenue, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 22, 2020) at his home.Born in Westfield, PA., September 1, 1942, the son of Bernard and Phyllis Judd Butler, he moved to Friendship from Sabinsville, PA., in 1970. Harvey was a graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School in 1960 and received his Bachelors degree from Mansfield State College. Harvey was employed for over 30 years as a math teacher at Belfast Central School.
He was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Westfield, PA,. the Coudersport Consistory , Tri-star McKee Chapter, Allegany District, Order of The Eastern Star and a “Paul Harris Fellow” in the Friendship Rotary Club, a member of the Board of the Friendship Free Library and the scholarship committee of the Paul Vienna Scholarship Fund at Belfast Central School. Harvey Loved his Family, His Grandchildren, His fellow Teachers, and the students at Belfast Central School. He Loved telling stories of his past experiences growing up, and teaching young people.
