COVID-19 Statistic Update

In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected approximately 16.8 million people, and there have been over 305,000 deaths. According to the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 tracker, there have been 804,555 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 28,100 deaths statewide. As of 2:45 p.m. on December 16, Allegany County’s statistics are as follows:
Confirmed Cases: 1,495 (42 new)
Recovered Cases: 1,270
COVID-19 Related Deaths: 50 (Depending on reporting times and agencies, this figure may vary between different reports.)
Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date: 6,383
Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 5,493
Currently Quarantined/Isolated: 890
Precautionary Travel Quarantines to Date: 1,385
Total COVID-19 Antibody Tests Given: 901
Total COVID-19 Antibody Positives: 51
