In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected approximately 16.6 million people, and there have been over 302,000 deaths.  According to the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 tracker, there have been 794,557 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 28,002 deaths statewide.  As of 3:35 p.m. on December 15, Allegany County’s statistics are as follows:

 

Confirmed Cases:  1,453   (22 new)

Recovered Cases:  1,254

COVID-19 Related Deaths:  50 (Depending on reporting times and agencies, this figure may vary between different reports.)

Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date:  6,249

Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 5,390

Currently Quarantined/Isolated:  859

Precautionary Travel Quarantines to Date:  1,384

Total COVID-19 Antibody Tests Given:  900

Total COVID-19 Antibody Positives:  51
