Fire destroys Hartsville home in Steuben County

At 1:05 p.m. Sunday, Canisteo Fire and EMS and South Hornell fire were dispatched to 999 Ells Road in Hartsville for a house fire. The 911 dispatch said the owner indicated the house had already burned to the ground. According to Steuben County tax records, the $121,200 home is owned by Bill Pullman Trust etal, Sinking Springs, PA. The only remaining active fire was coming from a gas source. A fire investigation team was requested to the scene.
