WELLSVILLE - June Irma Wooton, 87, of Wellsville, NY, died
Friday, April 13, 2018 in Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center,
Wellsville, NY with her family by her side.
Born June 7, 1930, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of Noel and Irma
Frank Wooton. A graduate of Florida State University, she earned a Master’s
degree in library science in 1969. She
taught middle school students for 23 years in Cape Coral, FL. June moved to Wellsville from Sarasota, FL in
1996 and was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church for many years and
later Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Surviving are: her twin sister, Joann Van Ramshorst of
Wellsville; a brother, Dr. John (Sara) Wooton of St. Clair Shores, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mulholland-Crowell
Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.,
with a Memorial Service following at 4:00 p.m. The Rev. Carol Stewart, Pastor
of St. John’s Episcopal Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville at the convenience of
the family. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, Shepherd of the Valley
