Allentown - Norma J. Taylor, 79, of 1913 White Hill Road
passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at home with her family at her side.
She was born January 17, 1939 in Andover, the daughter of the Late Ronald and
Bertha (Brown) Stephens. On February 1, 1958 in Alma she married Phillip A.
Taylor who predeceased her on November 26, 2016.
Norma was raised in Allentown and was a graduate of the
Allentown Union High School. She was formerly employed at the Allentown School,
Valley Manor Proprietary Home in Allentown, and at Jones Memorial Hospital in
Wellsville for 25 years. She was a member of the Allentown Volunteer Fire
Department and the Allentown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling
with Phil, playing bingo, and loved spending time with her family and their friends.
She is survived by a son, Shaun (Ezura) Taylor of Allentown,
a daughter, Molly Stirk of Wellsville, a grandson, Gregory (Jen) Taylor of
Scio, a granddaughter, Ashley Taylor of Allentown, two sisters, Joyce Shields
of Bolivar and Judy Stephens of Penfield, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 25th from
7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday April 26th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at
the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The funeral will follow
visitation on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Diane Cox
presiding. Burial will be in Knights Creek Cemetery in Scio. Please consider
