Allegany County Travel Alert - Route 19 at I-86

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that bridge painting work will begin on April 9, 2018, on the bridge carrying State Route 19 over Interstate 86 in the town of Amity, Allegany County.  Work on the bridge is expected to last approximately 2 months. The completion date of the work to be completed by PCI International, Inc., Tonawanda, NY, is May 31, 2018.
The project will consist of painting of the bridge, and the primary and secondary members of the structure. While this work is taking place, traffic will be maintained by lane closures in one lane.    
Motorists may encounter flaggers, lane shifts and could experience travel delays. It is imperative that motorists remember this season to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter.
