An investigation into a domestic dispute that occurred at
approximately 4:30 p.m. on March 17 has resulted in meth-related charges
against a Dansville man. Troopers
assigned to the Wayland and N. Hornell barracks were initially dispatched to a
private residence on Oak Hill Road in the Town of Dansville, and in conjunction
with that investigation, conducted a vehicle stop on St. Rt. #36, also in the
Town of Dansville. The operator of the
vehicle, Thomas J. Jacobs, Jr., age 39, of 10528 Oak Hill Rd., Dansville, N.Y.,
who’s driving privileges had previously been suspended, was allegedly found to
be in possession of lab equipment, precursors, chemical reagents, and/or
solvents – all of which are commonly used in the production of methamphetamine.
Jacobs was charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, 3rd degree
(class “D” felony), as well as Vehicle & Traffic Law charges. He was subsequently arraigned in the Town of
Dansville Court and remanded to the Steuben Co. Jail without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of
Dansville Court at a later date.
