Elmira Debate Results Reflect Golden's Connection With District

Press Release
The results are in from the March 14th Congressional Debate in Elmira. While one candidate is claiming victory from the event, whose organizers said there was no victor, Ian Golden found the results to be optimistic and reflective of what he has seen during the campaign: His message is resonating, he is a good representative of the district, and he is able to connect with the community in ways other candidates have not.
“I entered this race after becoming frustrated with establishment candidates and politicians forgetting about the needs of regular people,” Ian Golden said.
Golden is continually forming genuine, strong connections with our district’s union workers, small- and medium-scale farmers, immigrants, public school teachers, health care personnel, students, retirees, and everyone in between. These potential voters are of all political beliefs and party affiliations, and they love Golden’s ability to listen and illuminate common ground. These potential voters are the quiet majority, and they’re committed to making it to the polls on Election Day to show their support for Golden.
The six candidates in the Democratic primary race take a similar stance on many issues, but Golden’s integrity, authenticity, and humility reflect voters’ values better than the other candidates.
As Pennsylvania voters recently demonstrated, voters are ready for new energy and integrity. They’ll vote for a representative who will not take money or be influenced by special interests. They want a representative who will advocate for voters’ needs instead of pet policies.
