Mr. Liller was born on June 25, 1959 in Montour Falls to Stanley J., Sr. and Marlene A. (Day) Liller. On Dec. 16, 1978, in the Beaver Valley Wesleyan Methodist Church he married Elizabeth A. Waltz, who survives.
Stanley worked as a machinist for Arvos, Inc. (formerly Alstom Air Preheater) in Wellsville from 1997 until the present. He was previously a self-employed mason contractor.
In addition to his wife of 39 years, Stan is survived by his father, Stanley J. Liller, Sr. of Corning; four sons, Donald S. Liller of Wellsville, Gregory S. (Beth Almanza) Liller of Munfordville, Ky., James M. (Tracy) Liller, Sr. of Coudersport, Pa. and William (Beth) Manry of Friendship; three sisters, Lorena Liller and Laurie Ann Liller, both of Corning and Karen (Tombo) Laird of Pasadena, Tex.; two brothers, Gerald Liller of Corning and Scott Austin of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters-in-law, Sue Atherton of Painted Post, Jenny (Mike) Horton of Rathbone and Bonnie Wilcox of Walkersville, Md.; one brother-in-law, Skip (Sally) Wilcox of Greenwood; his Uncle and Aunt William and Sherry Day, Sr. and Aunt and Uncle Gloria and Skip Torpey, all of Wellsville, his Uncle Robert Liller of Beaver Dams and his Uncle Harold Liller of Corning.
Additionally, he is survived by seven grandchildren, Angel Liller, James Liller, Jr., Oliver Stanley Liller, Trenton Liller, Parker Wallace, Brittany House and Cody Woodward.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a sister, Debra Liller; two brothers-in-law, Denny Atherton and James Wilcox; and his mother-in-law, Peggy A. Waltz.
Stan was first and foremost a family man. All of his pleasures somehow included his family. He was an avid gardener but it was often a contest to harvest his strawberries and tomatoes before the grandchildren got to them. This was a contest he didn’t mind losing. He was a huge sports fan where he enjoyed watching his beloved Buffalo Bills or Sabres but his greatest joy came in moving the chains for the Coudersport Falcons youth football team or enjoying a competitive backyard horseshoe game with the family. Stan loved working with his hands. He would make wood and metal signs, but again, so he could give them away as gifts to his family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Baker-Swan Funeral Home, 3256 Riverside Drive in Wellsville. The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Capuano, officiating.
