Born in Hornell, April 14, 1972, the son of Elton and Nancy (LaBarron) Swain, he was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Canaseraga Central School. Johnny enjoyed music, camping, boating, and the outdoors. He loved his dog “Bart”, life, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his parents Elton and Nancy Swain of Canaseraga, his fiancé Crystal Stauffer of Canaseraga, his sister April Crego of Angelica, his grandmother Gloria LaBarron of Dansville, 2 nephews Josh and Dylan Crego, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will be present 12-3 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating. A private family burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
