Fillmore - Roberta J. Ashcraft of 85 West Main Street, died
Thursday, July 20, 2017 in East Side nursing home. She was born on May 24, 1929
in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Wealthy Breaden Holland. She
married Robert M. Ashcraft who predeceased her on December 12, 2008.
Roberta was a former secretary for Fillmore Central School,
a former president of the Wide Awake Library, former treasurer of the History
Club of Fillmore and an exercise instructor for the office of the aging.
She enjoyed numerous types of crafts, painting, reading,
dancing and watching the Yankees and golf.
Surviving are her children, Barbara (Norman) Thater of
Leroy, David (Dee) Ashcraft of Pittsford, Margaret (Buz) Mills Jr. of Fillmore,
Terry (Greg) Harrington of Warsaw, nine grandchildren, seven
great-grandchildren, a half-brother, Steven (Julie) Holland of Mayville and
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased
by a half-brother, Michael Holland.
Family and friends may gather at the Kopler-Williams Funeral
Home, 21 North Genesee Street, Fillmore, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday,
July 23, 2017.
A private family and friend’s service will be held on
Monday, July 24, 2017 in the Friends in Christ United Methodist Church,
Fillmore. Pastor Nancy Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove
cemetery, Fillmore.
