The New York State Department of Transportation today
announced that asphalt pavement overlay work will begin on Interstate 390 on
Monday, July 31, 2017, weather permitting.
The project will extend from Neil Creek in Wallace to Exit 2 in
Cohocton, for a total of approximately 5.3 miles. Asphalt pavement overlay work will also be
done on Cohocton Loon Lake Road (State Route 962D) in Cohocton, as well as the
northbound exit and southbound entrance ramps at Exit 2 in Cohocton. The scope of this project includes work in
the towns of Avoca & Cohocton in Steuben County.
Motorists will encounter flaggers, lane closures and could
experience travel delays. It is
imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through the many highway
and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.
