State Route I-86
Exit 46 to Chemung County Line, Steuben County
The New York State Department of Transportation today
announced that beginning July 17, 2017 eastbound I-86 traffic from Exit 46 to
Exit 47 will be detoured onto State Route 352 during overnight hours from 8:00
PM to 6:00 AM for work involved with the I-86 pavement rehabilitation
project. Detour routes will only be
implemented when work requires and will not be every night. Occasional nighttime detours are expected to
continue through late October, 2017.
All eastbound traffic will be required to exit the highway
at Exit 45, travel east on State Route 352, through the City of Corning, for
approximately 5 miles then re-enter the highway at the 47 Interchange, located
just east of Gibson. It is important to note that eastbound access from
Hamilton Street, in the Village Riverside and eastbound access from State Route
414, in the Town of Corning will be disallowed. Alternate routes for these
locations will be marked accordingly.
