Cuba Police continue to train for active shooter situations

From Cuba Police Chief Dustin Burch:
Statistics show that 52% of active shooter incidents occur in the commercial sector (businesses and other commerce locations), nearly 25% occur in the education sector and the remaining incidents occur in government, religious, residential and healthcare sectors. These incidents can happen anywhere at anytime. The Cuba Police Department is proud to continue our efforts to build relationships with our local establishments both private and public. Recently, the Cuba Police Department hosted a Civilian Response To Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training. We partnered with the Seneca Gaming Security group and invited approximately 17 casino guards to our facility for this training. We received positive feedback and hope to host more of these trainings in the future. If your business or place of employment would like to attend this training please email Chief Dustin Burch at dburch@cubapd.org. CRASE training is provided by our certified instructor Officer Mackney free of charge.
