Sandra Jeanne Majot “beloved
wife, mother and grandmother”
CERES, NY---Sandra Jeanne Majot, 83, of Ceres, NY, passed
away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 17, 2017, in Wellsville,
NY.
Born on February 10, 1934 in Olean, she was a daughter of
Paul and Jean Schmidt Miller. On
September 28, 1957 in Sacred Heart Church in Portville, she married Michael D.
Majot, who survives.
Sandy was a graduate of Bolivar High School, Class of
1952. For a short period of time, she
was employed by the former Clark Brothers in Olean.
Her most cherished time was being a wife, mother, and
raising their six children. Sandy
enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, her beloved pets, a dish of ice cream at
night, and in her earlier years, doing pottery. Along with her husband, she
enjoyed going to yard sales. Together, they also took great pleasure in
experiencing the outdoors and nature.
Her greatest love was spending time with her expanding family.
Surviving besides her husband are six children, Sophia J.
Majot of Ballston Spa, Sarah A. Majot of Burnt Hills, Edward E. (Betty) Majot
of Little Genesee, Douglas A. Majot of Wellsville, Paul D. (Shari) Majot of
Ceres, and Kevin M. (Kimberly) Majot of Little Genesee; eight grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; a sister, Rebecca (Clark) Jacques of Little Genesee;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was predeceased by two
sisters, Marilyn Cradduck and Paula Faulkner.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, June 20, 2017
at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, PA,
where funeral services will follow at noon with Pastor Ben Ramirez of the Faith
Bible Church, Little Genesee, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bolivar.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of
the donor’s choice.
