Wellsville Police Blotter

Date: Tuesday June 20, 2017

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested Brandon J. Knefley, age 23 of Andover, charging him with failure to appear on Court and/or pay fine.  Knefley was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Judge O’Connor.  Knefley was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on July 18th at 4:30 p.m.


D. Hamilton
Wellsville Police arrested Devon J. Hamilton, age 21, currently incarcerated in the Allegany County Jail, charging him with Grand Larceny 4th (Class E Felony) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (Class E Felony).  The charges stem from an investigation in the theft of merchandise from Kmart in Wellsville in May of 2017.  Hamilton was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Judge O’Connor.  Hamilton was returned to the Allegany County Jail and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on July 18th at 4:30 p.m.
Wellsville Police arrested Jorge Gonzalez Jr, age 37, currently incarcerated in the Allegany County Jail, charging him with Criminal Mischief 4th.  The charge stems from an incident that took place on North Main Street in May of 2017. Gonzalez was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Judge O’Connor.  Gonzalez was returned to the Allegany County Jail and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on July 18th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested a 15-year-old Friendship youth, charging him with Criminal Mischief 4th.  The youth was petitioned to the Allegany County Probation Department for further action.
