Police: Bath teen arrested after attacking Trooper

New York State Troopers from the Bath barracks announce an arrest stemming from an investigation into a reported criminal mischief complaint.  Davon M. Bloom, age 16, of Snell Hill Road in the Town of Bath, New York, was arrested on 06/12/17 and charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree (a class “E” felony), Attempted Assault 2nd Degree (a class “E” felony) and Resisting Arrest (a class “A” misdemeanor).  Troopers allege that, during the afternoon of June 12th, 2017, Bloom entered a building on Snell Hill Road and intentionally damaged over $250.00 in private property.  When confronted by uniformed Troopers and told he was under arrest, Bloom physically resisted and intentionally struck one of the Troopers in the head in an attempt to cause physical injury.  Bloom was quickly secured without further incident and subsequently arraigned in the Town of Bath Court before T/J Chauncey Watches.  He was remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond.
