Wolf Administration Announces Roadway Improvements in Potter County

Coudersport, PA –  Today, the Wolf Administration announced that a new public-private partnership will rehabilitate 9.2 miles of weight restricted roadway in Potter County and include drainage improvements and full-depth reclamation of Route 1001 (Brookland Road/South Main Street/Fox Hill Road) and Route 4013 (North Hollow Road).
“Every mile of roadway in Pennsylvania is important both to travel and to supporting a robust economy,” said Governor Tom Wolf. “Public-private partnerships like this one are important to help Pennsylvania move forward in both of those areas.”
JKLM Energy, LLC of Sewickley, PA, has financed $3.2 million of the $6.75 million needed for the work on both routes with the balance of the work to be completed utilizing Act 89 funding dedicated to upgrading weight restricted highways.

The work zone on Route 1001 stretches from the village of Brookland to Ulysses. Starting Tuesday, June 20, this section of the road will be closed for full-depth reclamation work. A detour utilizing Route 449 and Route 49 will be in place until mid-September. Drivers familiar with the area can use alternate routes.
The work zone on Route 4013 stretches from the borough of Coudersport towards Seven Bridges. Starting July 24, this section of the road will be closed for full-depth reclamation work.   A detour utilizing Route 6 and Route 49 will be in place until early October. Drivers familiar with the area can use alternate routes.
