Following an investigation, it was determined the suspicious item, a large metal cooler, was empty.
State Police are still trying to identify the suspects who placed the cooler. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Wigmore at 607-535-7731.

The State Police is investigating a suspicious device found in the area of the Montour Tour Falls Fire Academy and State Police station in Montour Falls, Schuyler County. State Police are working to identify the contents of the device, which appears to be a large metal water cooler,
Troopers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects who placed the device. A witness took the attached photograph of the suspect’s vehicle leaving the scene.
