Meth drug bust in Cuba

Following an investigation by the Cuba Police Department Narcotics Unit, Cuba Police arrested Robert C. Schappacher, 43, of Friendship. Schappacher was arrested after a Grand Jury issued an indictment warrant on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd (Felony), criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd (Felony), criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th (Felony) and criminal sale of a controlled substance 5th (Felony). Schappacher was processed, placed in front of a judge and sent to the Allegany County Jail on no bail. Schappacher is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These charges stem from the alleged sale of methamphetamine in the Town and Village of Cuba. The Narcotics Unit was assisted by the Allegany County District Attorney’s Office.
