FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New Congressional District Impacts Primary Elections Set In Steuben BATH – Recent changes in US Congressional districts mean Republicans in seven towns in Steuben County may vote in a federal and local party primary elections slated for 6 am to 9 pm on June 25. Steuben Board of Elections Commissioners Veronica Olin and Colleen Hauryski report the towns of Avoca, Cohocton, Dansville, Prattsburgh, Pulteney, Wayland and Wheeler are now part of the new 24th Congressional District with the following changes in those towns’ ballots. 

The redistricting means the following Republican candidates will appear on the June 25 primary ballots: · 24th Congressional District -- Claudia Tenney and Mario Fratto. ·

 Town of Bath: Town Clerk -- Terra Thorpe and Tara Muller ·

 Town of Wheeler: Town Council Member -- Heather Trenchard and Jonathan Cole 

 Highway Superintendent -- Douglas E. Towner and Richard J. Decker 

“You must be a registered Republican, residing in one of these voting districts to be eligible to vote in the June Primary Election,” the commissioners said in a joint statement. Early Voting for the towns having a primary will take place from June 15-23 at the Steuben County Annex, 20 E. Morris St. A complete list of dates and times is located at www.steubencountyny.gov/boe. for early voting and to view the ballots before voting.
