Obituary: Milford L. Clark, 99, Coudersport

Milford L. Clark “beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather”

COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Milford L. Clark, 99, a lifelong resident of Coudersport, passed away surrounded by his loving family at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, after a short illness.

Born on Friday, May 13, 1921, he was the son of LeRoy and Alta Meacham Clark of Coudersport. On May 16, 1942, in Colesburg, he married the love of his life, Beatrice Minnie “Tootie” Tucker Clark, who passed away on January 19, 2018.

Milford was a 1939 graduate of Coudersport High School. He was employed at the GLF Feed Mill and the Coudersport Livestock Market. He and his wife were owners and operators of the Mil-Bea Guernsey Dairy farm in Coudersport.

He was a member of the former Hebron Grange 1251. Milford was a devoted husband and was a true hard working American farmer. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, and never passed up a chance to share one of his many stories.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Lee Clark (Mrs. Terry) Sturdevant of Coudersport; four grandchildren, Christopher Clark of Germany, Jay (Tammie) Baird of Franklin, NC., Krista Sturdevant (Mrs. Rodney) Doran of Coudersport; and Kimberly Sturdevant (Mrs. John) Dailey of Coudersport; seven great-grandchildren, Noah (Rachel) Baird, Myah Baird, Sarah Baird, Gabby Doran, Rodney Doran Jr., Emilee Dailey and Jacob Dailey; a great-great-grandson, Abram Baird; a sister-in-law, Ruth Tucker Thompson of Colesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Milford was predeceased and is now reunited with his wife Beatrice; a son, James L. Clark; a daughter, Catherine Marie Clark; his parents, LeRoy and Alta; a brother, George Clark; an infant sister, Agnes Clark; and a sister, Phyllis Clark Maynard.

As per Milford’s request, there will be no funeral services. The family will hold a graveside service at a later date to join his ashes with his loving wife’s, in a milk can, to be buried at Woodland Cemetery, Coudersport.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the FFA Chapter of the donor’s choice or to the Potter County Historical Society, 308 N. Main St., Coudersport, PA 16915.
