BELMONT, N.Y. (WKBW) — Police in Richmond, Ind. say a Western New York woman has been charged with the murder of an Allegany County man.
According to police, 50-year-old Josephine Scott of Canaseraga was arrested in Belmont on Friday.
Authorities say they found 58-year-old Roy Redford of Canaseraga dead with a bullet wound on December 14th.

An Allegany County woman was arrested and charged in connection with the shooting death of a man, also of Allegany County in Richmond, Indiana. 50-year-old Josephine Scott of Canaseraga was arrested in connection to the shooting death of 58-year-old Roy Redford also of Canaseraga. Richmond Police Department Capt. Curt Leverton said in a press release that Scott was arrested Friday night in Belmont and charged with murder. A warrant for her arrest was issued, according to online court documents. Police found Redford shot and killed on Monday while conducting a welfare check in the 400 block of Commerce Road.
