In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected approximately 15.5 million people, and there have been over 290,000 deaths. According to the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 tracker, there have been 743,242 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 27,498 deaths statewide. As of 2:45 p.m. on December 10, Allegany County’s statistics are as follows:

Confirmed Cases: 1,359 (55 new)

Recovered Cases: 1,116

COVID-19 Related Deaths: 50 (Depending on reporting times and agencies, this figure may vary between different reports.)

Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date: 5,996

Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 4,973

Currently Quarantined/Isolated: 1,023

Precautionary Travel Quarantines to Date: 1,355

Total COVID-19 Antibody Tests Given: 890

Total COVID-19 Antibody Positives: 50
