Savona man jailed after dispute

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on August 16, 2018, deputies arrested Charles G. Decamp, age 40, of County Route 18, Savona, New York. Deputies responded to the area of County Route 18 in the Town of Bradford due to a report of a domestic incident. The investigation revealed that Mr. Decamp allegedly violated a duly served order of protection and was in possession of a firearm while having a previous felony conviction. Mr. Decamp was charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, a Class E Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Criminal Tampering a Class B Misdemeanor. Mr. Decamp was arraigned at the Town of Campbell Court where he was remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail.
