We are privileged to have an extraordinary and professional
law enforcement official heading the Allegany County Sheriff s Department. We
deserve to have an established person leading the way and I feel that Rick
Whitney is the person to hold that position. Please keep this in mind when we
head to the polls in September.
I have known Rick for over 30 years both personally and
professionally. I was quick to reach out to Rick when I was appointed Chief of
Police in Wellsville and he was Chief of Police in Bolivar. He shared his
support and knowledge without hesitation and aided in my transition to the new
job.
Sheriff Whitney promotes this same professionalism in the
everyday dealings with all police agencies in Allegany County. His attention to
detail and experiences in administration are just a few of his attributes. I
feel that his integrity and honesty are what make him an excellent choice to
run the Sheriff’s Department.
Rick knows Allegany County. Rick knows many of the citizens
personally and he holds those he doesn't know with the same respect and he will
continue to work relentlessly to protect all of us.
This September I am voting for Sheriff Whitney to continue
his leadership and I ask that you too do the same! Experience is a leader's
most effective asset and Rick has that experience!
