HUME - Loraine E. “Cookie” Belford of 10864 Claybed Road
died Saturday, August 4, 2018 in her home. She was born on November 7, 1941 in
Colden, a daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Szwaczkowski Ebert. On April
20, 1963 in Washington DC she married Carl M. Belford who survives.
Cookie was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1961 to
1963 and was a bus driver for Fillmore Central School for 42 years.
She enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, gardening, camping
and most of all being with friends and family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are their children,
Catherine Bentley of Hume, Carl (Tami) Belford Jr. of Fillmore, Carol (Keith)
Hennard of Fillmore, Laurie (Christopher) White of Fillmore, Thomas (Katherine)
Belford of Nunda, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces
and nephews.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and
7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral
Home, 21 N Genesee Street in Fillmore. A funeral service will be held on
Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hume Baptist Church. Pastor Joel
Stroud will officiate. Full Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion
Post No. 1155 of Fillmore. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore. Memorials
