Catherine was a long time resident of the Wellsville area
who graduated from Scio Central High School in 1951. She was a member of the
former Christian Union Church of Wellsville where she played the piano. She
later joined the Riverside Assembly of God Church where she was an active
member.
She was a loving christian mother, grandmother, and great
grandmother. Survivors include 2 sons, James Quant II of Wellsville, and Thomas
[Angela] Quant of Norwood; 4 daughters, Bonnie [Jack] Schettine of Wellsville,
Kathryn Quant Brownell of Wellsville, Marilyn [Dennis] Temple of Portland, OR.,
and Suzie Barner of Wellsville; 16 grandchildren, Rachel [DJ] Dates, Melissa
[Seth] Blake, and Ryan Quant; Tisa [Derek] Robbins, Tasha Schettine, Heather
[Josh] Francisco, and Ron Schettine; Matthew [Teah] Brownell; Brandon
[Christie] Carter, Bradley [Kylie] Carter, and Brianna [Jack] Castelli; Emily
[Jared] Finnemore, and Zachary Barner; Thomas Quant Jr., James Quant, and
Hunter Quant; 22 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Catherine was predeceased her mother and Father, her
husband, her son in law John Barner, a bother, Floyd Fish, and 2 sisters,
Marion Argenta and Hazel Reeves.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from
2 until 4 p.m. at the Riverside Assembly of God Church at which time a funeral
service will be held. Pastor John Francisco will preside the service and burial
will take place in Knights Creek Cemetery. Please consider memorial donations
