STATE POLICE WARSAW INVESTIGATE FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT

The New York State Police in Warsaw, along with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and Wyoming County District Attorney’s Office are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred Sunday on State Route 20A in the Town of Orangeville, Wyoming County. At approximately 11:45 am, a vehicle being operated by Joshua D. Huntress, of Mayville, NY, was traveling west on State Route 20A when he crossed into the eastbound lane and struck two oncoming motorcycles, each with a passenger. One of the motorcycle passengers, Tomasa Martinez, age 66, of North Tonanwanda, NY was transported to Wyoming County Community Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The three other motorcycle occupants were transported to Erie County Medical Center where they are being treated for their injuries. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending against Huntress.
