WELLSVILLE — Elsie Fanton McAndrews, 95, of the Fulmer
Valley Road, passed away at Jones Memorial Hospital on Thursday (June 29, 2017)
following a short illness. She was born in the Town of Willing on April 6,
1922, the daughter of Floyd E. and Grace Church Fanton. On Nov. 11, 1945, she was
married to Lloyd M. Kervin, who predeceased her on Feb. 3, 1972. On May 20,
1978, she married Vincent L. McAndrews, who survives her. She was a graduate of

1942 before going to the airplane engine plant #2 in Buffalo during WWII. She
later worked at the Davies Dept. Store of Wellsville and again at Turbodyne. She
enjoyed being a homemaker and was a member of the Hallsport Grange and Home Bureau.
An avid reader and photographer, she had assembled many photo albums of the
wildlife and barns of the area. As a result of her life for the outdoors, she
maintained both flower and vegetable gardens. As a loving wife and mother and
good friend to all that knew her, she will be sadly missed. Surviving, besides
her husband, Vincent, are a son, Steven L. (Deborah) Kervin of Pavilion;
grandson, Christopher Kervin of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. She
was also predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Gladys Fanton, Marion Booth
and Lois Orman; four brothers, Bernard, Burrell, Russell and Ralph Fanton. Friends
may call at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home in Wellsville on Monday (July 3,
2017) from 2 until 4 p.m., when services will be held with Mr. Dale Fanton
officiating. Burial will be in the Stannards Cemetery in the Town of Willing. Memorials
