Obituary: Charles F. Deichmann, Sr.,86, Belmont
Belmont - Charles F. Deichmann Sr., 86, of 3161 Rte. 244
passed away on Tuesday July 4, 2017 in the Wellsville Manor Care center
following a brief illness. He was born March 21, 1931 in Bristol, CT. He was
the son of Frederick and Ruth E. Doherty Deichmann. Charles married Alice
Lovrinovicz in Watertown, CT. Mrs. Deichmann preceded him in death on August 4,
2008. Mr. Deichmann was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a telegraph
operator during the Korean War. While living in Bethlehem, CT. he was a
self-employed Real Estate broker and a school bus driver. Moving to Phillips
Creek in 1974 Charles perused his lifelong dream of being a dairy farmer. He
retired to Mariaville, Maine in 1995, and later lived in Ferrum, VA. He
returned to Phillips Creek in 2010 where he resumed his love of gardening and
raising chickens. He attended the Nile Community Church. Surviving are three
daughters, Rebecca (Richard) Cudahy of Little Genesee, Wendy (Neal Klopping)
Deichmann of Brookville Ohio, Heidi (Tom) Whitehouse of Castle Rock CO; Three
Sons, Jonathan Deichmann of Austin ,TX, Charles (Julia) Deichmann Jr. of Belmont, Joel
(Karen Kadella) Deichmann Nashua, N.H.; Nineteen grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren; Two brothers and one sister; Several nieces & nephews
and grandnieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Rachel D.
Deichmann on October 24, 2015, and one brother Graham Deichmann. A memorial
service will be held on Sunday July 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Schaffner Funeral
Home Inc. Bolivar. Pastor Kevin Palmitier of the Nile Community Church will
