Alice A. Randall: Loving Mother,
Grandmother, Great Grandmother
Alice A. Randall, 85, of 2596 Rte 305, West Clarksville,
passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Jones Memorial Hospital after a short
illness. Born on March 4, 1931, she was a daughter of Horace and Lena Crawford
Powley. On December 28, 1957, at the
Hinsdale Methodist Church, she married Richard W. Randall, her husband of 56
years, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2014. Alice had worked for the
Olean Tile Plant for ten years and then went to work for AVX Ceramics in Olean
until her retirement in 1993.
She will be remembered as a very generous person who had a
big heart and always put others before herself. She loved going out to eat,
spoiling her family, happy hours, juking with her husband, or just sitting
around playing cards with friends. Country
music was her favorite and she loved her trucks over the years. Knitting, cooking, shopping, and making
wedding cakes were just a few things she was famous for. Alice enjoyed
wintering in Florida with her husband, painting tropical murals, and the lush
greenery of Palm Trees and plants. Surviving are her children Brenda (James
Kocher) Chesney of Cuba, David (Linda) Randall of Jamestown, Richard W.
Randall, Jr. of Florida; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; Several
Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased
by a son Larry Miller, and two brothers William and Richard Powley.
