Livingston Deputies arrest Bath woman during traffic stop

AVON: Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Steuben County woman after a traffic stop.  On July 14th, 2017 Deputy Brandan Flickner of the Sheriff’s STOP DWI Unit, stopped a vehicle on Route 5 and 20 in the Town of Avon for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Deputy Flickner discovered that the driver, 30-year-old Katie L. Wilson of Bath had an active warrant for her arrest out of Franklinville, Cattaraugus County. During the course of the roadside investigation, Deputy Flickner also found Wilson to allegedly be in possession of Adderall. Adderall is a controlled substance for which Wilson did not have a prescription. This resulted in a charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Wilson was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention on the drug charge. Wilson was later arraigned in the Village of Geneseo Court before Justice Houston.  The Judge remanded Wilson to the custody of the Sheriff on $250 bail. Bail was posted and Wilson was turned over to the Franklinville Police Department to address the warrant.
