WELLSVILLE NITROS LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION DAY...Saturday June 17th - vs Hornell Dodgers at the Wellsville Central School Athletic Complex on School Street, Wellsville.
*Pre -Game Events: 4 p.m. - 5 p.m., Game starts at 5 p.m.
*Several Local Law Enforcement Agencies will have police cars on display.
*Members of the New York State Police Mounted Division will be in attendance.
*The New York State Police will be conducting a K9 Demonstration.
*The Allegany County Sheriffs Office Command Trailer will be on display including equipment from the Sheriffs Office C.E.R.T - Corrections Emergency Response Team , A.C.T.R.T. - Allegany County Tactical Response Team and C.N.U. - Crisis Negotiation Unit.
*The Allegany County Sheriffs Office will provide the "Operation Safe-Child" fingerprint ID card program.
*Representatives will be present from the Badge of Honor Association and the Allegany County Deputy Sheriffs Association.
*Family members of Allegany County Deputy Sheriff Derek Ward - (End of Watch 7-3-2004) - will be present along with local law enforcement officials for the pre-game ceremony as the Nitros Honor Local Law Enforcement Past and Present.
*Event Admission is free for past and present law enforcement officers and their family members.
