Historic Hornell Photos on Display at St. James Mercy Hospital

Local physician and St. James Mercy Hospitalboard member Dr. Spencer Annabel has loaned a collection of historic Hornell photographs to St. James Mercy Hospital for display in the lobby, cafeteria, and emergency room hallway areas.

"These photos used to hang in my office and patients enjoyed looking at them so much I wanted to share them with more people. I would like to give credit to Norm Annis for his great work in restoring all these photos," said Dr. Annabel. "The historic photos depict the life styles, work places and the physical look of our community from years gone by. It would be a shame to keep them boxed up in storage."  "Dr. Annabel’s historic photographs have already sparked a great deal of interest and much reminiscing," commented Dustin Hewit, Executive Director St. James Mercy Foundation. "We are pleased for the opportunity to display this proud pictorial history of our community, and thankful to Dr. Annabel for sharing his collection with the community."
